Inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), members are taught of the importance of living by God’s commandments, one of which is to show kindness to others . To reinforce this Christian value to the KADIWA members in the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac in the Philippines, an online seminar dubbed “Why Kindness Matters” was held on August 8, 2021.

“Kindness matters because this is one of the characteristics that Christians should have.” In fact, many activities in the Church are “aimed to express kindness through helping members and nonmembers alike,” said Jamielive Lopez, from the Local Congregation of Bamban.

“We are expected to be the light of this world, thus, it is only proper that kindness is evident for us to be a good example to our fellowmen,” said Lia Katrina Enriquez, from the Local Congregation of Balanoy.

“We are thankful to the Church Administration for approving such an activity that truly gives inspiration to the KADIWA members and strengthens our faith,” said Princess Era Baltazar, from the Local Congregation of Balanoy.

According to Brother Jordan Catacutan, a ministerial worker from the Local Congregation of Capas, the value of being kind can also help the brethren “become effective instruments in inviting people into the Church Of Christ.”

The activity was held when Tarlac was still under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). ― With reports from INC News Section
