“This activity was organized by the Church Administration to not only distinguish but also hone our young brethren’s singing abilities,” said Olivier Dimatulac, Capas, Tarlac district CWS committee chairperson from the Local Congregation of Aranguren. During the said friendly competition, the contestants sang their rendition of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music.

Of the participants from 50 local congregations that participated in elimination rounds conducted at Bamban, Capas, Concepcion I and II, La Paz, and Navy areas of the district, Khloe Celine Cunanan, 9 years old, from the Local Congregation of Aranguren was proclaimed the champion. The second and third place winners were given to Anniver Baluyut, 8, from the Local Congregation of Navy and Cian Marc Lindo, 11, from the Local Congregation of Alfonso, respectively.

The champion shared her thoughts in an interview: “Being able to show my talent to my fellow children, even to older brothers and sisters in the Church, I’m more than glad for being part of this competition.”

“While the young brethren were showcasing their talents, the Christian way of upbringing them was also evident,” said Brother Joselito Canlas, assistant district supervising minister. — With reports from Keith Umali of INC News Section
