
Because of the active participation of the brethren from Capiz, Philippines in proclaiming the Good News of salvation, more province-mates of theirs have been added into their district’s membership.
The much-awaited day of baptism of those whom they caringly walked through the whole process of joining the Church finally came on February 5, 2021.
Having completed the requisites for baptism according to the Bible, the candidates arrived early at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Roxas City. Strictly following health and safety protocols, they listened attentively to the study of God’s words taught to them before their immersion into the water.
It was emphasized to them by the district supervising minister, Brother Edgardo Gonzales, how they should safeguard their membership in the Church Of Christ amid persecutions and hardships so they can be certain of the promised salvation.
Afterwards, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership, vowing to, among others, living as true Christians and actively uniting with the Church Administration in all the activities for the sake of their divine elections.
The Capiz Ecclesiastical District, one of five in Panay Island in the western part of the Visayas, is preparing more prospective members for upcoming baptisms. To date, it has 52 local congregations and five extensions, which its leadership expects to increase with heightened efforts at spreading the pure gospel. — With reports from INC News Section
