To keep the coastal areas clean, Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Catanduanes conducted a coastal clean-up drive at Barangay San Vicente, Virac on February 5, 2021.

To carry out the activity and still be safe from the danger of the Covid-19, the young members strictly observed health and safety protocols throughout the event. Daianara Torres, said, “It is God’s will that we take good care of our environment. So, we conduct activities like this.”

Nadine Ebron, one of the volunteers, recalled, “I learned in my Ecology [subject] the relevance of having clean [bodies of] water in maintaining our sources of livelihood.”

Another participant, Jassen Diego, added, “Aside from Covid-19, there are other illnesses that might afflict us if we neglect our environment. That is why it is so important that we keep it clean.”  — With reports from INC News Section
