To foster better ties among Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members even in the midst of the pandemic, a CBI Friendship Day held on July 31, 2021, in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan West in the Philippines. The young brethren who are in their secondary or tertiary level of studies met for a virtual get together. Brethren from their homes participated in the activity through videoconferencing.
CBI district officers spearheaded the online activity aimed at helping the brethren get in touch with their peers and to meet new friends as well.
“I am happy that we conducted this kind of activity wherein I met new friends. Even if the pandemic still exists, this does not hinder us to conduct such activities. The activity brought [me] enthusiasm in my studies and even more in participating in all Church activities and services to our Lord God,” said Dexter Mappala, a CBI district officer from the Local Congregation of Libertad.
Before the end of the activity, Brother Elvin Gundayao, district CFO overseer, conducted a Bible-based lesson and taught the brethren God’s words to strengthen their faith.
“We are thankful to the Church Administration for allowing us to conduct such activity to meet new friends in the district. The words of God that we received brought us new hope and spiritual strength to face various trials in life. We vow that we will continue and actively participate in all Church activities,” said Alliah Sagario, CBI district officer from the Local Congregation of Namuac. ― With reports from INC News Section
