Members of the Christian Employees Association from the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba commemorated the 36th anniversary of the CEA during a special gathering to thank and praise the Lord God for His continued help and guidance to them.

The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Winnipeg South served as the host site; that of other local congregations and group worship services (GWS) throughout the district as remote sites of the gathering held on January 22, 2023.

Brother Roland Andrade, district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred occasion, delivering a Bible-based lesson urging the attendees to uphold honesty in their respective work places at all times. He reminded them that despite the troubles and difficulties they experience in life, they should never get involved in any fraudulent practices. They must always be among the law-abiding citizens, he said, to please not just anyone but God who promises blessings to His faithful servants.

“What inspired me was the verse stating that we should earn honestly, not sinfully,” said Marco Aviles, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Fort Garry who works as a mechanic. “Always having fear of God, and entrusting Him our concerns is also a must to be blessed by Him.”

John Aguirre, a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officer and also a choir member from the same congregation, said, “I learned that it is important to always remember God, while the things concerning this world are but secondary.” — With reports from INC News Section
