The Christian Employees Association (CEA) in the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte conducted a livelihood seminar on January 18, 2021.
Brethren from various local congregations in the district gathered at Igama Colleges Foundation Inc. in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to participate in the activity.
Daisy Pungtilan, facilitated the first part of the seminar. She taught the brethren how to make Cassava cake and Leche flan. Selling these products can be made into a small business to earn extra income. Dick Igama, CEA leadership officer, facilitated the second part of the seminar wherein he taught the brethren about pot making.
“By sharing my skills to the brethren, I hope that in my simple way I can be of help to the Church Administration in showing the love and concern for our brethren’s welfare,” said Daisy.
“In this time of pandemic, one of the problems of people is how to earn enough for a living. This is one of the aims of the activity—to help our brethren earn extra income for their family,” Dick Igama expressed.
Crystal Limos, one of the participants, said, “I am very happy to be part of this activity. I have learned so many ideas that I can use hopefully to run even a small business in our place.”
Brother Dennis Brojas, district Christian Family Organization (CFO) overseer, supervised the activity. The brethren thanked the Church Administration for such activity and promised to be more active in participating in all Church activities. ― With reports from INC News Section
