Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Central in the Philippines received study materials through the activity CBI Cares on June 1, 2020.

In the current efforts of the government to prevent the further spread of Covid-19, home school and online learning are emerging as practical alternatives. However, some students have problems with the said options: “Some of us are having difficulty, because we do not have an internet connection,” Franz Miñon, a student from Veterans Village I Congregation, said.

In the activity, books and modules were given to students who do not have internet access. “We are pleased with this activity aiming to help our fellow students in their studies,” Aldrei Vohn Aquino, a district CBI officer, stated.

One of the recipients of the study materials was Angel Paredes, a CBI officer from Tagumpay I Local Congregation. She said, “CBI members are being guided and helped in their studies, to fulfill their hope in the future.”

The students were inspired to do better with their studies as they feel the concern of the Church Administration. “I will strive to finish my studies to help my parents,” Franz added.

“As a CBI member for some years now, I saw how the organization helped the students with their studies. We are also taught to trust God through prayers,” Angel said.

The CBI in the district promises to continue to launch activities approved by the Church Administration to assist the students in the current education process.

“I want to thank the Church Administration for remembering and helping us students who have limited resources in our study,” Angel expressed. ― With reports from INC News Section
