The district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal spearheaded an activity dubbed “CFO Cares” on November 28, 2020. The CFO officers reached out to give aid, especially to the brethren who were severely affected by recent calamities.
Romulo Delos Reyes Jr., Buklod president, said, “The flood due to typhoon Ulysses left huge damages in many areas in Rizal. Many of our brethren were affected by the calamity. We helped the brethren through CFO Cares.”
Aside from aid packages given to the brethren, a stress management seminar with a Bible-based lecture was also conducted to make their faith stronger.
Brother Billy Joe Sarmiento, district counselor, facilitated the seminar. He explained, “The Church Administration advises the brethren to take heart and not lose hope. There should be no room for panic in these times of pandemic and other uncertainties, instead, they should be steadfast in the faith and trust the Lord God.” He added, “In times of trials, having a devotional prayer is one thing that gave the brethren extra strength to fight on with their faith.”
Brother Allain Duero, district CFO overseer, stated, “The brethren were thankful for they have received immediate help. They were strengthened in the faith knowing that their fellow brethren will always be there to lend their helping hand to them in times of need.” ― With reports from INC News Section
