“CFO Day” drew brethren of all ages from all local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Oregon, some coming from as far as Boise, in Idaho, approximately 700 kilometers away, to participate in various activities.
Organized by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) in the district, the annual event was held at Lents Park, SE 92nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon on May 1, 2022.
The brethren had a wonderful chance to bond together by taking part in fun games such as relay races, tug-of-war, among other games organized by the CFO officers. Before these, they engaged in a group fitness routine.
“I enjoyed seeing the brethren participate and seeing them smile made me feel so happy. We had an intense work out and it was worth it,” Melchor dela Cruz III, a district KADIWA officer from Local Congregation of Hillsboro who led the fitness activity, said.
“It is nice to see the brethren, especially since we’ve been doing worship services online. Now that we have transitioned from online to in-person, I’m grateful and I appreciate that things are getting better, especially regarding the pandemic. I know that things are still going on but we’re able to at least manage things to the point where it’s getting better and we’re able to hold activities again,” Melchor added. — With reports from INC News Section
