The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) leadership in five ecclesiastical districts in SOCCSKSARGEN, a region in the Philippines that includes the provinces of South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, as well as General Santos City, collaborated in holding the regional competition of this year’s online competitive games. The activity was held simultaneously on November 17, 2021.

The representatives in the following categories: Buklod, KADIWA, Binhi, and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) from the ecclesiastical districts of Sarangani; Koronadal City, South Cotabato; Cotabato North; Sultan Kudarat; and General Santos City, South Cotabato gathered in a designated venue in their respective districts and virtually met with their competitors through videoconferencing. The games included Dart Master, chess, checkers, Game of the Generals, Scrabble, speedcubing, and speed stacks.

“Through this kind of activity, CFO members from the districts in Region 12 were able to participate and show what they got in playing their favorite games,” said Brother Gary Alcontin, the district CFO overseer, who supervised the activity.

“This is such a good experience for each one of us,” said Jayson Torres, the KADIWA district president.

“I am happy and excited because I met new friends from other districts,” said Kimberly Ladan, a KADIWA Chess player from the Local Congregation of Bula.

“I am happy for this kind of activity because I improved my talent in playing Chess,” said Marcos Louise Mabunga, a CWS Chess player from the Local Congregation of New Era.

Brother Gary said, “The brethren showed not only their skills and talents in playing games but also the active participation in the activity launched by the Church Administration.” ― With reports from INC News Section
