The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district leadership from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe sponsored a livelihood seminar on November 22, 2021 for brethren in Finland. The seminar, which focused online business opportunities, was attended through videoconferencing by brethren from the Local Congregation of Helsinki, Finland with Group Worship Services of Espoo, Vantaa, and Hyvinkää.

Astrid Hanna Balagao from Helsinki, Finland Congregation, an online entrepreneur who is a deaconess and Finance officer, served as the resource speaker. Through the seminar, she shared with the brethren how to start an online business and the steps how to generate business ideas based on their skills, expertise, and knowledge. “Coronavirus has turned the lives of many families upside down. Many parents have lost their jobs and faced different struggles in life to survive. This activity is very helpful for families to gain knowledge and earn extra income thru online business.”

Chrislane Kakonious found the seminar helpful, “For me, it is very timely because nowadays, we need some extra income for livelihood. I feel so blessed for having this activity. In this kind of activity I also got to bond with my fellow brethren and we also learned new things together, new ideas, and new information that can be beneficial to our families,”

“Attending this kind of event had a lot of benefits including gaining knowledge, confidence, and motivation to start my online business for additional income.” said Jian Oñeza. “Starting an online business would absolutely be a big help to earn extra income especially during this time of the pandemic.”

“We thank the Church Administration for this activity that increased our knowledge, even if we have already a job, we can still have an addition income to be used in our daily needs, especially in our services to the Lord God,” Naome Bueno, one of the attendees, said. ― With reports from INC News Section
