“It’s important that Church officers are reminded of the qualities of great leaders. Through this, long time officers get the motivation to be instrumental in training new ones to lead others and, at the same time, encourage the new ones to strive to develop those qualities.”

Brother Jeiel Robregado, Christian Family Organizations overseer of the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba, Canada said this regarding the aim of the leadership seminar he conducted for the officers of the CFO as well as the Society of Communicators and Networkers International (SCAN) in the local congregations in the district. It was held on January 16, 2023 at the conference room of the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Weston.

Brother Robregado began his discussion by reiterating to the participants the scope of their respective duties. He went on to enlighten them on the qualities that they must develop to better lead and guide their respective organizations and thus be of great help to the Church Administration. He wrapped up his discussion with the line-up of upcoming activities of the CFO, the conduct of several of which need assistance from the SCAN.

“Being a good leader will help a Church officer in further strengthening the faith of the brethren in their organization. This, as was proven many times in the past, will bring positive impact on future activities,” Brother Robregado added.

At the end of the activity, Brother Roland Andrade, district supervising minister, exhorted the attendees, through a Bible-based lecture, to value “their God-given duty for it is a blessing. To perform their duties to the best of their abilities express love and concern for the brethren and the Church, which please God.” — With reports from INC News Section
