Brethren of all ages from the Local Congregation of Christchurch, Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand underwent a Heart Caring Seminar held at their house of worship on August 26, 2019.
Resource speaker Elaine Dimalanta, a registered nurse, elaborated on the signs and symptoms of different heart diseases. She then discussed how these can be prevented by giving tips and advice on losing weight. She further explained how healthy eating and regular exercise can greatly reduce the risk of heart diseases by as much as 30%.
After the discussion, the congregation’s Buklod president, Salvador Saberola Jr., hosted a quiz that tested the brethren on what they learned from the seminar.
Concluding the event, Brother Jemuel de Belen, resident minister, imparted the biblical advice on taking good care of one’s health. — With reports from INC News Section
