A KADIWA “Continental Meet & Greet” was held on March 5, 2023 for single members of the Church aged 18 and above from six ecclesiastical districts in Asia and Oceania.

Youth members from the ecclesiastical districts of Australia East, Australia West, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sabah, and Thailand had the chance to get to know one another through videoconferencing. The New Zealand Ecclesiastical District hosted the event.

More than just making friends with fellow KADIWA members from other places, the event served as “an additional inspiration as you serve God,” said Brother Dennis Dahunan, New Zealand district supervising minister, as he gave the opening remarks during the said activity. Citing biblical verses, he further reminded the attendees that God expects them to live a righteous way of life. This, he added, greatly helps in their becoming strong in the faith.

The attendees watched a video presentation titled Finding the “Perfect Guy” from an Iglesia Ni Cristo online program “Faith Speaks” featured in incmedia.org. The KADIWA officers also prepared an interactive game, which reviewed the youth of their knowledge of the Church’s history. The recorded performance of KADIWA members from Thailand showcasing their rendition of INC original song I Have You entertained them as well. They proceeded to online breakout rooms, which enabled them to approach and get to know each other.

“The event was far-reaching as it involved districts, some of which are literally far from ours. Even so, I felt so excited to exchange ideas with my fellow brethren, especially because it’s a rare opportunity we’re given,” enthused Gia Mariah Perez, KADIWA district officer from the host district.

“It’s a pleasure to get in touch with my fellow KADIWA members from other districts,” Kristin Aishy Corpuz, KADIWA member from Malaysia, expressed. “I’ve made new friends. It was enjoyable talking with them.” — With reports from INC News Section
