Ever concerned with the welfare of Church Of Christ members and their family, the Church Administration advised the parents with children aged five and younger to avail of the free vaccination against polio, rubella, and measles administered by the Philippine government the whole month of February.
This was conveyed in all local congregations in the Philippines through a circular letter of the Executive Minister read during worship services on January 29-31, 2021.
In his circular, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo reminded the brethren that “although we are doing everything to stay safe from the coronavirus disease or Covid-19 which is still raging, we should continue to protect ourselves and our loved ones from other illnesses.”
In support of government efforts to keep children and the populace safe from certain illnesses, the letter went on to inform the congregations that the Department of Health-Center for Health Development will conduct Measles, Rubella, and Oral Polio Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity from February 1-28, 2021.
The free vaccination, it said, based on official DOH-CHD documents, will be conducted at the rural and city health offices, barangay health stations or centers, and maternity clinics.
Most of all, the Executive Minister exhorted the brethren to always pray to the Almighty God for His continued protection to their families from all kinds of sickness, plagues, and calamities, “so that we can carry on fervently with our services to Him.” — With reports from INC News Section
