Two ecclesiastical districts in Central Luzon, Philippines, continue to see increases in their membership as more and more new converts receive baptism.

In the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac, two consecutive baptisms were held in the house of worship of Navy Local Congregation on April 23, 2021. Brother Mauro Balintag, district supervising minister, led the holy occasion scheduled in the morning while the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Joselito Canlas, officiated the second held in the afternoon.

Among the newly baptized members were Aris and Jemmily Gamboa, enlisted in General Macaspac Compound Local Congregation. Despite the persecutions they experience, they persisted in joining the Church. “We heard a lot of things from other people but since we are convinced about the truth taught to us, we remained firm in our faith,” the couple explained.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the candidates for baptism from the Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija Ecclesiastical District, together with the brethren instrumental in their conversion, gathered at the house of worship of Soledad Local Congregation.

Before their immersion into the water, Brother Eliseo Canlas Jr., assistant district supervising minister, taught them the importance of receiving true baptism inside the Church Of Christ in attaining salvation.

Dolores Pareña, a deaconess and a teacher, witnessed the baptism of one of her students whom she guided in joining the Church. “I am glad to be of help in the intensive propagation of God’s words launched by the Church Administration,” she said. — With reports from INC News Section
