As a result of the unified efforts of the brethren in the intensive work of propagation, the membership of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in Nueva Vizcaya continued to grow as manifested in periodic baptisms conducted by its district in this Philippine province, the latest of which was held October 29, 2021.

During the baptism service held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bagabag, the district supervising minister, Brother Fermin Paquiao, first taught the candidates for baptism a biblical lesson about giving utmost importance to one’s divine election as a Church Of Christ member. He reiterated to them God’s teaching to keep their fellowship with the Church Administration to whom He entrusted the right to teach His words.

Among the newly baptized members, Peter Sison felt grateful for the blessing he received. He expressed resolve that he will strive to also bring his children and other relatives into the true Church. He enthused, “I hope that they can listen to God’s words and understand them because I also want them to receive the hope of salvation and everlasting life in the Holy City.”

Brother Franklin Lago Jr., resident minister of Bagabag, attested how the Church members were always keen on sharing the true faith. “Brethren here in our local congregation, led by the Church officers, distribute copies of the Pasugo magazine. They also used the internet to share their faith to their relatives and friends,” he said.

Antonio Panhon, a deacon from the Cabuluan Congregation, said, “We will not cease in inviting many people to join the Church by bringing them in the nightly evangelical missions.”

Situated in the Cagayan Valley in northern part of Luzon, Philippines, Nueva Vizcaya district consists of 84 local congregations with several extensions and group worship services (GWS). The district staff holds office at the chapel compound of the Bayombong Congregation along Purok 1 National Highway, Bonfal West in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. — With reports from INC News Section
