With the help of the Almighty God, the number of new converts in the Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa in Canada continues rising as back-to-back baptisms were held towards the end of February 2023.

On February 20, the much-awaited day of the candidates for baptism happened as they finally became full-fledged Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members through a baptism held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Beaconsfield. The holy occasion was led by the district supervising minister, Brother Jose Razon II.

Seven days after, February 27, another baptism was conducted, this time at the Halifax Congregation’s house of worship, and was officiated at by Brother Eleazar Yarcia, assistant district supervising minister.

Both officiating ministers, during the study of God’s words, pointed out how merciful the Lord God is for calling the newly baptized members to be among His chosen people. By virtue of their membership in the true Church, they will receive, among other God’s blessings, salvation when the appointed day comes.

Joy Ann Sanchez, a newly baptized member, recalled her turning point in seeking for the truth that will lead her to salvation. “It was September 2022 when I approached a co-worker of mine, who is a member of the Church, to attend an evangelical mission. When I gave myself a chance to listen to God’s words, I saw the difference of the Church Of Christ from my previous religion. That day I was enlightened, then I continued listening to the teachings,” she said.

“I am overwhelmed that I am now finally part of the Church Of Christ,” expressed Jerome Sapopo, a new convert from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. In his journey towards conversion, he can’t help but reminisce the day he decided to become a member: “I was encouraged to become a member of this Church because I wanted to be saved. Now that I’m finally a member of it, I will never leave this Church whatever happens.” — With reports from INC News Section
