Church membership further increased in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia East with baptisms simultaneously held on January 29, 2021.

Coming from different walks of life, the newly baptized members now share the same unforgettable experience of becoming full-fledged Church Of Christ members or true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and receiving the hope for His salvation.

One of them is Peter Kaisara who related that after browsing the incmedia.org, one of the Church’s official website, he reached out to a minister of the gospel to learn more about the Church and the teachings it upholds.

“After attending the Bible studies thrice, right then and there, I decided to be enlisted as a Bible student. I also wanted more people to know more about this Church. A lot of people are not safe on Judgment Day because they believe in the doctrines of men. So, I pray everyday that they will be enlightened,” said Peter.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Ho, a foreign student in Australia, said a friend of his who is a Church member was instrumental in how he came to know about the Church and eventually understood the words of God.

“To be honest, being an overseas student, I face a lot of challenges. But when my friend introduced me the Church Of Christ, he invited me to attend Bible studies,” he recalled. “There, I learned a lot from what the minister was preaching. After attending several worship services, I knew it was a calling from God that I need to be a member of the Church.”

On the day of their baptism, Peter and Benjamin, together with other candidates, eagerly arrived at their respective venues. From the host site in Brisbane Local Congregation’s house of worship in Queensland, Brother Emmanuel Era, assistant district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words. His preaching was livestreamed to the house of worship of Minchinbury Local Congregation in New South Wales.

“The Church Of Christ in these last days will not stop in sharing our faith,” Brother Felix Santos, district supervising minister, said. “Because we all know that the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ is fast approaching, we will use all means in sharing our faith so that many people will know about the teachings of God and be saved.” — With reports from INC News Section
