Because of limited access to public transportation due to health measures amid the current pandemic, many people, including Church Of Christ members, have resorted to riding bicycle in traveling to and from their work places.
Aware of the risk the brethren face everyday, the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo South conducted a bike safety tips seminar for them.
It was held on November 22, 2020 at the worship building of the Iloilo City Local Congregation as its host site and streamed to other local congregations in the district.
The brethren who attended happily appreciated to be a part of the activity that gave them knowledge about the proper use and safety protocols in using a bicycle on the streets and also, how to take care of their health.
“The activity is helpful especially to our employed brethren. They are able to go to their working place without minding the shortage of transportation and also an opportune time to exercise,” Gem Dumar Atanacio, KADIWA member, said. “Bicycling, boosts our immune system and improves stamina to have enough strength for the day.”
Brother Guillermo Edis III, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, who supervised the seminar, said, “We are thankful to the Church Administration to continue overseeing us in our services to the Lord God even in this time of the pandemic,” ― With reports from INC News Section
