The Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) has reached the United Kingdom with the establishment of its chapter within the Ecclesiastical District of United Kingdom on January 22, 2021.
The CMDPS is the organization of brethren working in the field of healthcare, such as doctors, dentists, clinical psychologists, and nurses, as well as the allied health professionals: therapists, chiropodists, and dietitians, among others. It was instituted by the Church Administration in June 2019.
District CFO overseer, Brother Gerry Aliermo, led the launching of the CMDPS in UK, attended by the first set of officers and a number of its members.
With the guidance of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office, the CMDPS members aim, among others, to volunteer their assistance in Church activities, especially in those that provide medical aid and social services. They may also be tapped to impart basic knowledge and skills pertaining to health care and safety as speakers or lecturers in seminars.
The organization of the CMDPS in the UK gave its members, who are giving their time and efforts as frontliners in the fight against the pandemic, added inspiration and the will to carry with their duties to patients and, above all, in their service of God, with the firm faith of His safekeeping to help them through life’s uncertainties. — With reports from INC News Section
