In the spirit of brotherhood and friendly competition, local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Thailand participated in a Regional Competitive Games Online on April 25, 2021.
The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office launched the activity that included the Ecclesiastical Districts of Malaysia, Australia East, Australia West, Micronesia, Sabah, and New Zealand.
“I am grateful and honored to join the competitive game, it feels good to be active in participating in the activities of the Church Of Christ,” Arlette Mediavillo, a chess player from Thailand District, expressed.
The players enjoyed each other’s company playing darts, chess, checkers, among other virtual games.
“Through this activity, the brethren showed that they are united with the Church Administration and even though they come from different countries, ethnicities, and social statuses, they showed that they love the brotherhood and that they uphold the Christian way of life,” Brother Marco Arnel Tumanan, Thailand district CFO overseer, explained.
Aside from spending quality time with one another, the brethren also had the chance to be acquainted with brethren from other districts, providing good company for some who are far from their loved ones being migrant workers.
“For our brethren who are far from their family members, activities such as this are important because not only does it give us joy and gladness but, most of all, it gives us inspiration, it gives us the strength to hold on, to continue our services to our Lord God,” Brother Tumanan added. — With reports from INC News Section
