To commemorate the Buklod’s 58th founding anniversary, various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Western Europe held a virtual special service followed by “Buklod Night” program on December 27, 2020.
During the special gathering to worship God and thank Him for His blessings to their CFO, the married couples were strengthened in the faith through God’s words taught during the sermon.
Afterwards, they enjoyed the rest of the evening participating in fun activities during the Buklod Night event, which aimed to reinforce not only the marriage bond but also their ties as brethren in the faith.
Aldwin Pascual, from the Local Congregation of Gstaad, Switzerland, said, “With our situation now, especially with the pandemic, there is a lot of problems in life, it is only fit for husband and wife to have a little break from it all.”
Edwin and Alicia Alejo, a married couple from the Local Congregation of Marseille, France, extended their greetings to all the brethren. Edwin said, “Such gatherings make one’s faith strengthened. Such quality time reminiscence the past of how we both struggled with trials and hardships and how to survive to save our relationship as a married couple. You really need such activities like this from time to time.”
Jeanett Lombardi, Buklod officer from the Local Congregation of Val-D’oise, said, “The most memorable part of the activity for me was the interview regarding the experiences in the life of the married couples and how the Lord God answered their devotional prayers in times of their needs. This is a good example for our KADIWA brethren who aspire to have a good wife or husband in the future.”
With the ongoing pandemic, the brethren firmly believed in what the Lord God can do to their lives. They promised to be all the more obedient to God’s teachings and command and will always unite with Church Administration. ― With reports from INC News Section
