On May 15, 2022, Buklod members from the Local Congregation of Pineda, Ecclesiastical District Metro Manila East, in the Philippines, attended their Buklod Night. The couples used the Valle Verde Function Hall in Pasig, Metro Manila, for the formal event to enjoy the night.

Before the couples shared the sumptuous dinner prepared for the occasion, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers treated them to several songs and dance performances featuring original Iglesia Ni Cristo music. Games were played and facilitated by the CFO officers.

“After two years of the pandemic, when group activities like this are already allowed, we thought of holding big projects like this once again, further intensifying the activeness and spiritual fervor of the Buklod members,” Rafael Miguel Dominguez, the Buklod congregation president, said.

Newlyweds Ruel and Hazel Callanta were among the attendees of the Buklod Night. Hazel narrated, “We are happy that we are together attending this Buklod Night for the first time.” Ruel said, “Joining this activity and strengthening our faith.”

The Buklod Night is an annual event for married couples inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). Plus, it gives them a chance to spend an evening together to strengthen their marital bond. — With reports from INC News Section
