Heeding the Church Administration’s call to further intensify the work of propagation, the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan held an evangelical mission sponsored by the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) on October 7, 2022. The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sitio I served as venue.

The preaching of God’s words by Brother Agusto Galapon, district supervising minister, was interpreted using sign language (SL) by Brother Arniel Ramos, a ministerial worker trained in the use of SL.

“In sharing the good news of salvation, we showed our care and love for members of the Deaf community,” explained Brother Ramos. “Having skills in sign language is vital so we can communicate God’s teachings to them.”

Through SL, Dianne Puno, Binhi and member of the Deaf community, said, “I am thankful that through this kind of activity launched by the Church Administration, we who are Deaf can still have a part in the intensive propagation of God’s words.”

“As a parent, this Church activity is important to us. It provides hope not only for our daughter but also for all of the members of the Deaf community who attended,” said Rowena Puno, Dianne’s mother. — With reports from INC News Section
