To instill in the children under their care the virtue of appreciating their parents’ love and care for them, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) leadership in various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Norte held “Tribute to Parents” on October 7, 2021.

The activity also aimed to show the children ways to express their heartfelt appreciation of their parents’ selfless efforts not only in providing for their materials needs but above all in rearing them in the true Christian way of life.

“The parents were so happy that we have Church activities like this, wherein the young members show their love and appreciation to their parents,” said Brother Ponie Anggo, the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district overseer. “The children made sure that through this activity their love and affection gets across of their parents.”

At the safety of their own homes, the children made “thank you” cards containing short messages of gratitude to their parents. CWS officers encouraged the children to accessorize their cards with various designs.

“The activity motivated the children to reciprocate the love their parents have for them,” observed Brother Sady Jhon Acha, resident ministerial worker, as he assisted the young members from the Local Congregation of Liloy. As for the CWS officers, he added that “upon seeing the smiles both from parents and their respective children, they were likewise elated and all the more inspired in fulfilling their duties.” — With reports from INC News Section
