For three consecutive days, June 25 to 27, 2021, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand participated in a “CWS Art Day” activity hosted by their respective local congregations.
The district supervising minister, Brother Dennis Dahunan, and the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, Brother Edgar Hernandez, led the activity.
With minimal community transmission of Covid-19 virus and the easing of health and safety protocols, the young members were very happy to see in person their fellow CWS members as they tried their hands in drawing. Wearing face masks, the young members, assisted by the CWS officers, drew their respective houses of worship, among other things, such as different animals. They colored it afterwards.
The highlight of the activity was when the children also made personalized cards, designing and writing on them messages of gratitude to their parents. Supportive parents, who were also present at the event, thanked their children upon receiving the well-thought-out cards.
“At first, I was very nervous,” Jamaica Enriquez, CWS choir member, said. “But when we started drawing, I said to myself, ‘This is actually very fun’.” — With reports from INC News Section
