To promote biblical knowledge among young minds, the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members, who were representatives of various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, gathered at its Christian Family Organizations (CFO) office to compete in the Tagisan ng Talino (bible quiz) on April 10, 2023.

Contestants from various local congregations vied in three categories, namely, Easy (for children of ages four to six), Average (seven to nine), and Difficult (10 to 12). The questions set for the quiz come from worship service lessons that the children were taught the previous months.

“I reviewed diligently for this event,” said Swetlyn Sayson from the Local Congregation of Opol, who bested other participants in the Easy category. “I thank the CWS officers who helped me in doing so and, most of all, the Almighty Father,” she added.

Rufjeel Nethan Mabognon, from the Local Congregation of Bulua, and Jorace Walohan, from the Local Congregation of Tugasnon, were the winners of Average and Difficult categories, respectively.

Ariel Martinez, district CWS chairperson, said about the district-wide activity: “I hope that these activities help the CWS members become all the more active in serving God.” — With reports from INC News Section
