Darwin Congregation celebrates 10th year

A decade of God’s abounding graces through the years is what brethren from the Local Congregation of Darwin, Northern Territory in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West celebrated through various activities last month.

“The brethren here in Darwin remain active in the faith. This is evident in the way they unite in all Church activities—from the intensive propagation of the words of God to various Christian Family Organizations (CFO) activities. Before the congregation reached its 10th year on August 25, to date, it has produced another local congregation (Palmerston City, NT) and two Group Worship Service (GWS),” said Brother Lito Vasco, the resident minister.

In commemoration of the local congregation’s anniversary, the CFO in the local congregation prepared several activities.

“The first in the series of our activities in commemoration of the local congregation’s anniversary was the evangelical mission on August 8 at the Casuarina Library, in Bradshaw terrace,” Brother Vasco said.

In was followed on August 15 by a Binhi/CWS Art Exhibit and by the INCinema film showing both held at the Novotel Hotel. Prior to the art exhibit, CWS members were encouraged to draw from their creativity and artistic talents and come up with artworks for the anniversary, which had the theme, “Be Thankful No Matter What.” Afterwards, the brethren watched their local congregation’s entry to this year’s INCinema project. The short-film delighted the brethren.

The culmination program which was held on August 22 at the Mercure Hotel function hall. Musical performances of brethren were featured and awards were given to brethren who proved exemplary in their hard work, untiring unity, and participation in all Church activities in their congregation.

Brethren from Buklod, KADIWA, Binhi, and CWS enjoyed the activity with the bonding of their family members and loved ones. The brethren in Darwin Congregation promised that they will continuously unite with the Church Administration and actively participate in all Church activities. ― With reports from INC News Section
