The intensive propagation efforts of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Davao del Sur, one of the six districts in Davao Region in Mindanao, Philippines, continue to bear abundant fruits.
On February 25, 2023, the district administered the baptism of aspiring members who had fulfilled the requirements for full admission into the Church in accordance with biblical tenets.
Accompanied by the brethren instrumental in their conversion, the candidates for baptism gathered in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Digos to further receive biblical instructions before undergoing the final step of being a true Christian.
They were reminded during the study of God’s words led by Brother Leo Magtulis, district supervising minister, that the true baptism they were about to receive is a great blessing from the Lord. Through it, the officiating minister said, they would now have the right to serve Him and the hope of salvation when Christ returns.
Brother Magtulis also commended the brethren for their efforts in sharing the true faith in unity with the Church Administration, adding that every baptism is a “manifestation of God’s love as He calls more people to join the Church for them to be saved on Judgment Day.”
One of the newly baptized, Irish Balboa from the Matti Local Congregation, said of her baptism, “I prayed to God to overcome any hurdles along the way. Praises be to Him for I reached this day I was baptized. Now that I’m a member of this Church, I will strive to remain until the end.” — With reports from INC News Section
