On August 26, 2021, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), through the Ecclesiastical District of Davao del Sur, held an Aid to Humanity event at Barangay San Isidro, Magsaysay, Davao del Sur, Philippines.

Situated roughly mid-way between Digos City in Davao and Kidapawan City in Cotabato, San Isidro is a farming community. With harvest season still weeks away and the negative impact of the pandemic on other possible sources of income still being felt, any form of help can alleviate the plight of the farmers.

Moved by concern for their fellowmen, Church Of Christ members led by Brother Asterio Dedicatoria Jr., the district supervising minister, traveled from the district office in Barangay San Jose, Digos City, to San Isidro to personally lead the outreach activity. There, they personally handed over relief packages to the recipients, Church members and nonmembers alike, while observing the health and safety protocols.

One of the recipients, Mary Ann Albofera, said, “Thank you so much to the Lord God, and to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for this aid. It is a great help to relieve our plight.”

Ivy Canque, deaconess from the Local Congregation of Matanao, was provided not only for her family but also for the brethren and prospective members entrusted to her care. “I will continue looking after them, most especially, leading them in our worship and services of the Lord.”

On behalf of the district, Brother Dedicatoria said, “We thank the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for approving this Aid to Humanity activity.” — With reports from INC News Section
