The Ecclesiastical District of Davao del Sur, in Southern Mindanao, Philippines, held simultaneous baptisms on January 28, 2022.

Brother Asterio Dedicatoria, Jr., the district supervising minister, officiated the holy gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Digos, while Brother Romel Silva, assistant district supervising minister, led the baptism at the Malita Congregation’s house of worship.

In their sermon during the baptismal service, the officiating ministers reminded the candidates for baptism of the importance of remaining obedient to all of God’s teachings they received in the Church, among them dedicating themselves to the worship service. Afterwards, the would-be members solemnly took oath to make every effort to live by God’s will and fulfill their duties to Him no matter what happens.

Among those present in the gatherings were Church members who helped out actively in the work of propagation so that more people would not only learn about God’s teachings upheld in the Church Of Christ but more importantly reach the day of their baptism. One of them, Pedro Momo, from the Local Congregation of Digos, said, “I am truly grateful to God because He continues to utilize me in calling other people to join the Church.”

In an interview, Brother Dedicatoria promised to the Lord God and to the Church Administration, “Our district led by the ministers and ministerial workers, together with all the Church officers and members, will continue to unite to further intensify the propagational works.” — With reports from INC News Section
