By God’s grace, hundreds of new faithful were added into the Church membership in the Davao West Ecclesiastical District after receiving holy baptism last month.
On March 26, Brother Bedan Ubaldo, district supervising minister, officiated the holy baptism of new batch of converts. It took place in the Mintal Local Congregation’s house of worship.
The next day, March 27, in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Davao City, the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Homer Tiomico, led yet another baptism.
As taught to them during their instruction in Bible doctrines and reiterated during the baptismal service, the new brethren now belong with the Lord Jesus Christ’s true disciples and have been blessed with the right to receive salvation on His Second Advent.
One of them is AC Talusig, who is unhindered to enter the Church Of Christ despite her being deaf. She related, “I decided to pursue my membership because I want to serve God and be saved. Now that I am a member of the true Church, I will remain an active member of it whatever the situation is.”
Through the help of the Sign Language interpreters, more members of the Deaf community are currently in the process of joining the Church. One of the interpreters, Brother Nyl Aaron Bacunawa, a ministerial worker, said, “It is a blessing to be an instrument of God in proclaiming His words through Sign Language [to those concerned]. I will continue to develop this skill so that I can be of help to the Church Administration in the intensified propagation of our faith.”
Another newly baptized member, Klint Dennon Tiples, shared how he was convinced to join the Church: “The activeness of the brethren in our place in attending worship services and other [Church] activities caught my attention.” Now, that he is among them and as a full-fledged member, he promised, “I will continue to renew my life for me to ensure salvation.” — With reports from INC News Section
