On November 14, 2020, Church Of Christ members from the Local Congregation of Diadi, Ecclesiastical District of Isabela South in the Philippines held a clean-up drive in their community.
Strictly observing health protocols, about 180 volunteers, including doctrinal instructees and prospective members, grouped themselves into two, covering the Barangays (villages) Bugnay and Poblacion, the vicinity of Diadi Municipal Hall, and a portion of the Maharlika Highway.
Sharing her observation of the activity, Reynaflor Orpilla, choir organist, said, “By maintaining cleanliness, we can all the more keep away from illnesses, especially now that we are in a pandemic crisis.”
Also a volunteer, Manuel Obello, from the congregation’s Salamague Extension, took part in the activity despite having lost his lower right limb. He said, “My disability will never be a hindrance to my unity with the Church Administration.”
On behalf of the congregation, resident ministerial worker Brother Don Pobre said, “The brethren here in Diadi are so happy and thankful in activities like this approved by the Church Administration. This uplifts and inspires them to stay active in the faith come what may.” — With reports from INC News Section
