On October 2, 2021, more people were baptized into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) as the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa held a district-wide baptism. The baptism was held simultaneously in the local congregations of Ladybrand, Manyatseng, Thaba Nchu, Qwa-Qwa, Kestell, Cape Town, Tembisa, and Lusaka, Zambia, together with Nelspruit Group Worship Service (GWS).

The homily of Brother Sheridohn Santos, district supervising minister, from the house of worship of the Ladybrand Congregation was livestreamed to the various remote sites in the district. Preaching a Bible-based lesson, he reminded the baptismal candidates of the great importance of receiving true baptism—that which makes one a member of the Church Of Christ. As proven by the Bible, such people will receive the blessings from God, most especially, eternal life in the Holy City.

After the study of God’s words, the assigned ministers in each of the baptismal sites conducted the baptism of new converts. Understanding the importance of the grace they have received, the newly baptized brethren promised to help in the intensive work of propagation by inviting their loved ones and fellowmen to listen to the words of God and join the Church Of Christ.

The Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa comprises 20 local congregations and one GWS spread in the southern part of the African continent namely in the countries of South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia, Angola, and Swaziland. — With reports from INC News Section
