Church Of Christ members from the Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa, Canada once more proved that their continued efforts in the work of propagation is not in vain, as two district-wide baptisms were held as soon as the New Year started, and before January 2023 ended.

The most recent baptism took place on January 30 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Beaconsfield. Brother Jose Razon II, district supervising minister, delivered the Bible-based lecture that reminded and further inspired the candidates for baptism to firmly hold on to the divine election they were about to be blessed with.

“I’ve realized that for the past ten to 13 years, my life has been in turmoil. When I was invited and started attending the Bible studies and worship services, I started discerning things more clearly. I feel more calmed. In the Church, it feels more like family especially with those who were instrumental in persuading me to join the Church Of Christ.” shared Franklin St. Louis, newly baptized member from Montreal.

Days prior, on January 2, the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Point Claire served as the venue of the first baptism the district conducted. Brother Melvin Ibañez, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer of the district, officiated the Bible-based lesson.

“We will never stop sharing our faith with our fellowmen. Doing so informs them not only about the Church’s humanitarian efforts but most especially the true faith, which is our genuine motive as it will bring them closer to God and His promised salvation,” said Brother Razon on behalf of the district.—With reports from INC News Section
