To keep up its propagation work, the Ecclesiastical District of Albay in the Philippines hosted evangelical missions simultaneously on March 7, 2023. Brethren from the areas under its jurisdiction, namely, Castilla, Donsol, Guinobatan, Legazpi, Ligao, Pilar, Pioduran, Polangui, and Tabaco, endeavored in bringing a total of 4,445 guests at respective venues.

Brother Eric Zaratan, district supervising minister, officiated at the Bicol University Tabaco Campus. His fellow ministers spearheaded similar activities that were held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Legazpi, at the Ligao Gymnasium, and at the covered courts in barangays (villages) Bariw, Bonifacio, Ponso, and Zone IV.

In each of the said venues the officiating ministers expounded on biblical truths upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), such as the importance of knowing who the true God is and actively serving Him inside the true Church.

As some local congregations under the supervision of the district are situated at the neighboring province of Sorsogon, the brethren filled with guests its Castilla Gymnasium and Donsol Centrum for Recreation.

“I understood the biblical teaching that the minister taught. I want to learn more about God’s teachings,” said police officer, Albert Bermas, a guest. It was Robie Jane Slater, from the Local Congregation of Tabaco, also a police officer, who was able to bring along Bermas and their other colleagues from the Tabaco City Police Station. “I thank God for making them understand His teachings,” Slater said.

Having been able to lead the brethren under his care to bring more than 300 guests, Brother Nestor Canela, resident minister of Tabaco City Congregation, said, “We made the necessary preparations, and did the best that we can in inviting many people. But it is God’s help, most of all, that enabled us to do our part in the Church’s propagation work.” — With reports from INC News Section
