Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North, Philippines received additional spiritual edification in the district-wide special gathering held on February 8, 2022.
The gathering led by Brother Rolando Esguerra of the Office of Edification under the Church’s General Secretariat, brought inspiration to the Church officers to strive even further to help the Church Administration in caring for the welfare of the brethren.
From the Bible, Brother Esguerra reminded the Church officers, who were assembled in the Local Congregation of EGM Avenue’s house of worship, the host site, and in their respective house of worship of their important roles in guiding the brethren entrusted to their care toward spiritual maturity and be worthy of salvation. He exhorted them to remain steadfast Church members themselves, knowing that their labors for the Lord would never be in vain.
New officers took oath after the homily. Kean Canlas, a newly sworn-in officer, said, “It is important to be an officer in the Church because this helps the Church Administration in overseeing the brethren and for me, it strengthens my faith to our Lord God.”
“In this occasion, we, Church officers, felt the love and concern of the Church Administration. We were taught of what we should do for us to be strengthened in upholding our duties. I am happy for the Church duty that God gave me,” Ramilet Ramos, one of the attendees, said.
“Through this special gathering, Church officers, old and new alike, were edified in the faith so that they will be be well-prepared in caring for and leading the brethren in our works for the Lord,” said Brother Arvin Dagdag, district edification overseer. — With reports from INC News Section
