On January 9, 2022, the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Local Congregation of Downtown, Alberta in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada, learned the value of saving during an activity-workshop led by the CWS officers.

Facilitated online, the activity taught and guided the kids to decorate their coin banks. With the help of their respective parents, the children followed a step-by-step video tutorial. Using their creativity, the kids were able to make their own coin banks out of readily available materials like used plastic jars, colored papers, pens, ribbons, cardboard, and other art materials.

Through the activity, the CWS officers also imparted to the kids the importance of being thrifty. Before leading the kids in the actual making of coin banks, they facilitated several games including those that challenged the kids to identify the corresponding values of various bills and coins, as well as to solve simple math problems.

Thankful to the Church Administration for such a wonderful activity to start off the new year, parents expressed that it is delightful for kids to be taught the “value of saving money even at a young age.” ― With reports from INC News Section
