Brethren from the Local Congregation of Downtown, Alberta, Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada commemorated the 38th anniversary of their congregation through a videoconferencing gathering on October 31, 2020.
Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers prepared video presentations wherein Buklod, KADIWA, and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members performed song numbers using Iglesia Ni Cristo original music.
“All are happy watching the presentations prepared by the Christian Family Organizations. It is a priceless moment. I think it is one of the important things right now, to be with our family, loved ones, and friends especially in these perilous times,” said Jun Tangbaoan, one of the brethren.
The brethren prepared a special dinner in their respective households as they enjoyed watching the presentations.
The trivia portion in between the presentations kept the event interactive. The brethren had a fun time recalling and learning important facts about the history of their local congregation.
Distance did not hinder the brethren to be united as they felt the love of brotherhood in the Church. The Lord God continues to guide them through the Church Administration.
“It is important to participate in activities like this because despite the Covid-19 pandemic, which has claimed the lives of many people, our faithfulness to the Lord God as members of Church Of Christ hasn’t changed; instead, we become more active in our membership and closer to our Father in heaven. Our faith is truly edified. We are thankful to God and the Church Administration for activities like this,” Jun added. — With reports from INC News Section
