Brethren from two local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, CanadaDowntown and Heritage Park—teamed up for an evangelical mission held on April 24, 2022. The brethren together with their guests, gathered at the Canyon Meadows Community Hall for the propagational activity.

“I think everyone is very welcoming. I felt like it’s family. Even though it is my first time to come here, I felt like I belong to the family,” shared Marjorie Lautee about her initial reaction upon attending the evangelical mission.

Another guest, Mary Abrogar, said, “The program [evangelical mission] was overwhelming and it was very lively. I felt happy.”

During the evangelical mission, Brothers Emmanuel Español and Dale Vargas, resident ministers of Downtown and Heritage Park, respectively, preached the gospel. They taught from the Bible about the One true God Whom man should recognize and worship,  the manner by which people can become His servants, and how to be be saved when Judgment Day comes.

“We’ll continue to invite our loved ones and friends for them to know more about the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) and the teachings of God it upholds, not only through evangelical missions like this, but also through the Church’s social media accounts like incmedia.org,” said Brother Español.

“We believe that this is the way for them to learn the truth and be baptized inside the Church Of Christ, and thus receive salvation on Judgment Day,” explained Brother Vargas. “So we encourage our guests to further study and attend our worship services and Bible studies.” — With reports from INC News Section
