Young members from the Local Congregation of Downtown, Alberta, Ecclesiastical District of Calgary in Canada had a great time together learning how to cook a certain culture’s dish and cooking it themselves.
This was during the “KADIWA and Binhi Cooking with Culture” held via videoconferencing on March 7, 2021.
Every participant first picked a country and made some research on it and its more known cuisines. During the activity, they shared to everyone the interesting facts they learned and the dish they wanted to prepare and why they chose it.
With such sharing of knowledge and information, the youth, from the confine of their homes, learned how to cook food from countries such as Mexico, Italy, Korea, Japan, among others, as well the cultures that go with it.
After everyone finished cooking, each participant showed their plated dishes and proceeded to enjoy their food as they socialized with each other online, enhancing the bond of Christian brotherhood. — With reports from INC News Section
