For Wilson Pascua, searching for the true religion is far more important than ensuring financial stability. For him, receiving the greatest reward when the appointed time comes is much more important than money. Thus, when he learned about the true Church as introduced in the Bible, he never stopped attending Bible studies and worship services to reach the most awaited day of his baptism.

Finally, on June 11, 2021, Wilson, together with other prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of La Union, received the holy baptism in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Santiago. Safety protocols were strictly followed even as the province is placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

“I’ve been a member of the Catholic Church and Born-Again but I never felt God’s presence. So, when I found out about the Church Of Christ through my son, who is a member of it, I started to further examine God’s words. Here, I learned that this is the true religion where I can receive salvation,” said Wilson, a newly baptized member enlisted in Santiago Congregation.

Before the baptismal proper, Brother Jonie Sibalo, assistant district supervising minister, taught an inspiring biblical lesson about having a solid faith to overcome various challenges especially now that Judgment Day is fast approaching.

Juvenal Sabado, the Congregation’s Light of Salvation officer, enthused, “It is our duty to always help the Church Administration in all the endeavors of the Church because this is one of the reasons we were called and entrusted to hold an office in the Church.”

Resident minister of Santiago Congregation, Brother Markiss Santos, expressed his thanks to the brethren who continuously help in the work of propagation, “It is delighting to see that many of our brethren, despite what they are going through in life, are one with the Church Administration in the intensified propagation of God’s words. We promise that no matter what happens, fulfilling our obligations inside the Church is our top priority, for the glory of our Almighty God.” — With reports from INC News Section
