On November 9, 2021, in connection with the 35th anniversary of the Christian Employees Association (CEA), the Ecclesiastical District of Manila held a special gathering for CEA members. During the said occasion, which was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Binondo, oathtaking of CEA officers was also held.
“The activity aims to continuously guide and take care of our brethren who work for a living in various companies, the private sectors, as well as various government agencies. The Church Administration wants to make sure that the brethren always remain honest and base whatever they do on the will of the Lord God,” said Brother Gloverick Parungan, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer.
Brother Alfonso Rico, district supervising minister, officiated the special gathering. He taught the brethren God’s words about having a strong faith in times of trials and tests in life. He also emphasized the value of prioritizing God in their lives and living righteously as children of God.
“Even in times of trials and difficulties, we should do the right things by obeying God’s commands at all times, including doing our best in our chosen profession,” Reymond Alumbro, said.
“If ever we excel in our works or jobs, we should all the more be active in performing our Church duties. This is to safeguard our divine election and remain strong in the faith,” said Janine Orallo, a new officer of CEA. ― With reports from INC News Section
