On January 15, 2023, the Ecclesiastical District of Edmonton conducted its first baptism of the year at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Eastwood.

During the baptismal service, Brother Roland Gaviola, the district supervising minister, reiterated to the would-be members the great value of receiving the baptism inside the true Church that belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. Citing Bible verses, he emphasized to them that “being baptized in the true Church and remaining steadfast in the faith until the end will lead to everlasting life.”

“The brethren in our district are joyous because God blessed our efforts in sharing the true faith with the people in this part of Canada. Here we see some of them finally making it to their baptism,” Brother Paquito Ibañez, the assistant district supervising minister, said in an interview.

After the baptism, Church officers hosted a “Welcome, My Brethren” program for the newly baptized brethren at the multi-purpose hall of the house of worship. According to Brother Rennel Romero, the district CFO overseer, “they were happy to be introduced to the officers of their respective Christian Family Organizations (CFO).” — With reports from INC News Section
