On December 1, 2021, members from the Local Congregation of Midsayap, together with those from seven other neighboring local congregations—Gayonga, Libungan, Lower Glad, Patindeguen, Pikit, Salunayan, and Takepan—gathered at the Midsayap house of worship compound to volunteer as donors during a blood donation activity in collaboration with the Cotabato Regional Medical Center.

Brother Generico Gamboa, Maguindanao Ecclesiastical District supervising minister, spearheaded the event, which was organized by the district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS).

Brother Robert Polancos, resident minister, shared, “As soon as we were told that ours will be the host venue, we relayed it right away to the brethren. On my part, it’s my third time donating blood.”

On behalf of the brethren in Midsayap Local Congregation, Brother Polancos added, “We will not relent in uniting with the Church Administration with all the activities being launched, for these make us all the more active and edified in the true faith.”

The CMDPS district president, Dr. Emily Dizor, who is also the president of the Community Health Service Cooperative Hospital (COHESCO) in Midsayap, North Cotabato, said that such an activity is a big help to those who need blood transfusion. To encourage more individuals to become blood donors, she mentioned that, “on the actual donation, they [donors] are provided free medical check-up, among other laboratory tests.” — With reports from INC News Section
