Another successful year has been enjoyed by brethren from the Local Congregation of Dumaguete City, Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental, as their congregation reached its 73rd anniversary on May 18, 2023. Among their many activities to commemorate such occasion, the members conducted an evangelical mission at their house of worship on May 19, in which the biblical truth concerning man’s salvation on the Day of Judgment was discussed.

“This evangelical mission officiated by our district supervising minister is one of the highlights of our anniversary,” said Brother Johncy Rago, resident minister. “The brethren united in inviting our fellowmen. As a result, almost 200 guests attended. All praises and glory be to our Lord God,” he added.

The teaching of the words of God, led by Brother Renato Callejo, was held at the house of worship of the Dumaguete City Congregation. In his biblical preaching, the district supervising minister detailed that salvation will be attained by people if they are among those redeemed by Christ through His blood. The Bible proves that the ones redeemed are the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

“I learned that in due time, we will face our end. That is why we should focus our attention to spiritual things that will lead us to salvation when the end comes,” said Lyka Cuaresma, a guest. “It is a commandment of God to share our faith. That is why I will continue inviting people to listen to His words,” said Silvistra Ma, deaconess. — With reports from Jemaima Jamito of INC News Section
