The work of propagating the gospel in the Local Congregation of Lutopan, Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu keeps going strong as many guests during the evangelical mission they held on September 24, 2021 enlisted for instruction in Bible doctrines leading to membership in the Church.

The brethren brought their guests at the congregation’s house of worship for the evangelical mission led by Brother Herman Madayag, a minister of the gospel. From the Bible, he taught that God appointed a day of Judgment and that will be on Christ’s Second Advent. He shared the teaching of the Bible that in order for one to be saved, one should become a member of the Church Of Christ.

After the event, many of the guests expressed positive feedback about what they learned and decided to enlist as Bible students leading to joining the Church.

In preparation for the evangelical mission, the brethren led by the resident minister, Brother Elizalde Lamina, spent the morning of that day in distributing copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to the residents of Brgy. Don Andres Soriano (formerly Lutopan) in Toledo City, Cebu. They also gave out religious pamphlets to the people they met on the streets and small stalls in the surrounding area. They did so while observing health and safety protocols.

Thankful to the Church Administration for always encouraging them to unite in all the works of the Church, Brother Madayag expressed, “We promise to be one with Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, by participating in all the activities, including the spreading of God’s words.”

Carcar City, Cebu is one of the three ecclesiastical districts established in the island province of Cebu. Situated in the Central Visayas, Philippines, Cebu is placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) during the said events. — With reports from INC News Section
