An evangelical mission held by the Local Congregation of Sibagat, Ecclesiastical District of Agusan del Sur, on April 17, 2022, drew a significant number of guests through the united efforts of its members in inviting their townmates to listen to the teachings of God upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

“When we learned the instruction that we will be having an evangelical mission in our congregation, we decided to invite our relatives and colleagues,” said Juvy Bullecer, a finance officer.

As a way, among others, of extending their invitation to many people, the brethren, led by the Church officers distributed copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to the residents of Brgy. Poblacion, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur and to its neighboring barangays on April 16.

On the day of the evangelical mission, the brethren accompanied their guests to the congregation’s house of worship, the venue of the evangelical mission. “We placed and organized vehicles from various places where the guests would come from to bring them at the house of worship,” attested, Ressie Beronio, the head deacon.

The evangelical mission was led by the resident minister, Brother Narciso Sanchez. During the study of God’s words, he emphasized, through the Bible, that one can attain salvation on Judgment Day by becoming a member of the true Church—the Church Of Christ—and faithfully adhering to the teachings of God that they receive.

In an interview after the event, Brother Sanchez, explained, “The aim of the Church Of Christ members in enthusiastically participating in propagational works is to fulfill the will of God that all people must know the truth so that they’ll be saved when the Day of Judgment comes.”

The Sibagat Congregation is one of the 53 congregations that composes the district in Mindanao, Philippines. Its house of worship is situated 15 kilometers north of Bayugan City, where the district office is located. — With reports from INC News Section
